Use and development of accommodation in Farming Zone
A proposal for accommodation for a farm alongside the Goulburn River, so there was an extensive need to minimise debris and nutrients entering this important waterway and other tributaries on site. One tributary was eutrophic from nutrient runoff. Stock were not rotated, and nutrient humps were forming in pastures alongside the waterway. There was a high weed infestation along the waterway with old-growth remnant River Red Gums. Fencing along the waterway was moved back to allow for sufficient regeneration of graminoids to filter nutrients and sediment.
